The Insomnia42 COD4 Finals at Newbury Racecourse |
Since the Multiplay Management announced the move to the bigger, newer and all together better venue of the Telford International Center ticket sales have been seen flying off the shelves. Alongside the change of venue, the announcement of a minimum £2,500 prize pot sprung new life into the UK scene causing them to quickly rally around the event in increasing force, and now, with the prize pot pushing the 4,000 euro mark European teams have been showing ever increasing interest, having the likes of LowLandLions, TCM and many more all putting their names down for the event.
However, due to a limited supply of machines, the Turn up and Play option will only be available to those travelling from outside of the UK. With the official announcement due anytime within the next month no prices have yet been established, but if they follow on from previous events, the convenience of using a top end gaming machine will most likely add an extra £70 onto the cost of your ticket. With the machines being in high demand but with only limited supplies Multiplay are going to operate on a first come first serve basis, meaning that as soon as they are announced you may only have an hour to secure your payment, so if you are serious about attending the event you best get your finances in order now in preparation.
We have the venue, we have the teams rallying around the event and now, with TuP unveiling itself within the upcoming days or weeks we have a recipie for success, something we havn't seen within the UK since the days of I43. Only time will tell if this is the I-Series revival, but for all intents and purposes, I hope it is.
In Summary:
- Only European teams can rent the PC's
- No price established yet, but if following on from recent trends we will be most likely looking at an extra £70
- First come first serve basis, get your finances sorted ready
- You will be competeting with the whole I-series population, not just Call of Duty 4.

Then they moan its going to cost £70.
You have got what you asked for, of course there is going to be an extra cost as they are also hiring the PCs.
People are so un-greatfull.
But great news :D Means more potential for some top teams to come
